The tragic wail of the little girl haunts you for a moment as you pull your bike up and start pedaling away. But then you notice the most incredibly handsome, broad-shouldered, shirtless lifeguard god standing a mere five feet away. He radiates such amazing charisma that for the first time in your life your knees actually go weak--just like the books describe! But while you're trying to roll your tongue back into your mouth you notice something unfortunate: he looks at you, then at the little girl still on the ground. The disapproving, disgusted frown he gives you hits you like a whip. He turns his back on you to help the kid and you are so shallow that you are still admiring his rippling muscles and perfect backside when your cruiser runs into the side of the concrete lifeguard station. You aren't going that fast but the awkward angle of your head allows your neck to snap with the impact.
